Aesthetic dentistry

(preserving and replacing measures)

Today, highly aesthetic, color-matched and stable filling materials are able to provide long-term care for small and medium-sized substance losses using adhesive technology.

Plastic ceramic masses are used, which can be used again immediately after hardening.

The amount of the costs are only partially covered by the statutory health insurance companies

reimbursed to the practice, so here in the side tooth area with an additional payment

will be expected. We will be happy to advise you on this.

If there are larger substance defects, the provision of dentures is recommended. This includes crowns, bridges, fixed implants or, depending on the condition of the teeth, a removable variant in the form of prostheses. There are many possible combinations here; Tooth-colored, made of metal (gold, silver, non-precious metal), partially veneered, fully veneered, visible retaining elements in the form of clips, invisible retaining elements on prostheses in the form of telescopic crowns or attachments.

This is absolutely individual and can only be discussed on site after a diagnosis and consultation. After completing all the necessary "preliminary work", we will consult with you and decide which is the most satisfactory solution for you. Finally, we will create a treatment and cost plan for your health insurance company with which we will apply for the subsidy for your dentures.

implantology

implants, artificial tooth roots. These are anchored in the jawbone under local anesthetic (similar to a screw) and can be provided with dentures after a healing phase of 3-6 months. Either as a single tooth, in a bridge or in combination with a prosthesis. In most cases, there is a subsidy from the statutory health insurance company for this treatment. Private supplementary insurance can cover a large part of the costs here. That depends heavily on the chosen tariff.

endodontology

Root canal treatments!

....become necessary when the nerve in the tooth is severely inflamed and attacked. Then this nerve has to be removed. To the chagrin of many people, this inflammation (pulpitis) often causes severe pain. The alternative to this is unfortunately only the removal of the tooth. Using local anesthesia and modern equipment (mechanical), we make every effort to provide you with relief as quickly as possible. Tooth preservation has top priority here. Mrs. Stein uses special fine instruments and files with which she prepares and widens the root canal. This is done in several work steps with precise up and down movements of the rotating instruments, is very time-consuming and requires a good instinct on the part of the dentist. Because the root canals are not always straight, they can also be curved. This makes the preparation of the root canal more difficult and takes longer. X-ray images provide information about the length and shape of the individual root canals and the extent of the inflammation.

Unfortunately, the costs of the treatment can only be settled within the framework of the statutory health insurance companies if an "uncomplicated" treatment process is guaranteed. Unfortunately, efforts beyond this will not be reimbursed. However, modern dentistry is able to increase the probability of success of a root canal treatment to over 90%. This is achieved through the use of increased time, modern treatment methods, highly effective medication and high-quality materials.

The costs are individual and can only be discussed in individual cases.

However, many additional insurances also bear a large part of the costs here. Depending on the agreed tariff.

Professional teeth cleaning

Every age needs its own strategy and special "aids" for optimal dental care. The insidious threat of gingivitis (periodontal disease) and its effects on the periodontium should not be underestimated.

Here, our specially trained prophylaxis assistant, Sister Andrea, will give you and your loved ones a hearty helping hand. Depending on the situation in your mouth, it takes about an hour to clean all your teeth, the spaces between your teeth and a little below the gum line. When cleaning your teeth, all soft and hard deposits, i.e. plaque and tartar, are removed. Dark stains and deposits are also removed.

Individual prophylaxis ensures smooth, protected, radiant and healthy tooth surfaces and well-groomed gums. This means that dangerous oral bacteria don't stand a chance.

You should treat your teeth to professional tooth cleaning in the dental practice (PZR) twice a year. In this way you achieve protection against diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis, protection against caries and last but not least, usually the most important thing for our patients, whiter teeth by removing discolouration.

The amount of the costs is normally around 80 €. (Children €30 & young people up to 18 years €45) A lot has also happened in the area of subsidies in the statutory health insurance companies in recent years.

Bleaching at home & in the practice

With professional teeth whitening, the tooth color can often be lightened well in just one session. If this is not considered sufficient for personal reasons, the teeth can be bleached. Bleaching can affect the entire dental arch or individual teeth. In our practice, Nurse Andrea is the first point of contact. Before bleaching, a prophylactic treatment is necessary and of course also a confirmation of safety from our prophylaxis assistant Andrea.

In our practice, the patient receives all the necessary materials for the so-called home bleaching using splints. These are filled with the bleaching material and worn daily (30 minutes or overnight) for several days. There are check-up appointments with Sister Andrea. You are always in good hands!

However, if you do not want to wait, you can have your teeth whitened in our practice in a one-off session (approx. 1 hour).

The amount of the costs -incl. PZR and care material amounts to €310.00 for a one-off on-site treatment.

Since this is a purely cosmetic treatment, the statutory health insurance does not contribute to the costs. A participation of many additional dental insurance is possible and depends on the respective tariff.

periodontology

Periodontitis is triggered by deposits on the tooth surfaces and in the spaces between the teeth. Initially, the gums become inflamed through reddening and swelling. Bleeding gums and bad breath are the first signs, later gum pockets form. Hard and soft deposits (plaque) are responsible for the fact that it ultimately leads to the loss of tooth-bearing tissue. Teeth become loose and fall out. The basic rule is: no plaque, no periodontitis. There are pre-existing conditions that favor the development of periodontal disease. Family, for health reasons (immunodeficiency, diabetes, etc.) taking medication.

Regular PZR meetings can counteract this for a long time. Should a PA treatment be necessary, this is done by means of a preliminary examination and our practice submitting an application to your health insurance company. A course of antibiotics can also have a strong supportive effect during treatment.

The costs for this are covered by the statutory health insurance companies.

The treatment itself takes place under local anesthetic and includes thorough cleaning of the gum pockets.

splint therapy

Disorders of the temporomandibular joint can severely impair the quality of life. Due to stress, accidents, trauma, etc. Significant disorders of the masticatory organ can occur, which should be counteracted by means of splint therapy.

These dysfunctions, which can represent pain, discomfort and consequential damage for you, are intended to help the splints to restore function by providing even support for the teeth. There is also the option of receiving physiotherapy support.

We will look after and advise you regularly.

The statutory health insurance companies cover the cost of this.

nitrous oxide sedation

tried and tested, the laughing gas sedation!

For many patients, the question of “anesthesia” arises again and again. In addition to the usual local anesthetic using a syringe, the treatment with nitrous oxide is a light and uncomplicated anesthetic. It is considered one of the most modern and safest methods to be treated in a relaxed and fearless manner. Inhalative nitrous oxide sedation using a mouth and nose mask is a quick method of treating our patients in an anxious manner. The entry and exit times are only a few minutes each, so you can quickly "get back on your feet" and leave the practice after the treatment is complete.

We are happy to help!
